Hit-and-run driver facing multiple charges

Injuring Williamston Police Officer

The man charged in a head-on hit and run accident which injured a Williamston police dispatcher Sunday evening has been arrested and is facing several charges.

Valvatrez Leeshaun Lomax, 23, of Greenville, is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, hit and run and simple possession of marijuana.

Driver pinned – Hwy. 88

Fatal head on

Firefighters work to extinguish a van and truck fire Saturday afternoon following a head on accident on Slab Bridge Road. Firefighters from Three and Twenty, Walker – McElmoyle, and Liberty responded along with Pelzer EMS. A pickup truck puling a livestock trailer apparently crossed the center line and struck a van head-on. Both vehicles burned and the driver of the van died in the wreck. Mobile home destroyed

A mobile home was destroyed by fire late Sunday afternoon on Firetower Road. Piercetown and Three and Twenty firefighters fought the blaze. The unoccupied home suffered extensive damage even though firefighters had the fire under control in less than 5 minutes. Deadly motorcycle crash

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown photographs a motorcycle that crashed through a fence killing the passenger Saturday afternoon. According to authorities, Christina Diane Lackey Davis, 37, died at the scene.

Father, daughter killed in accident

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown works an accident scene where a father and daughter were killed Friday night. The father was driving west on Highway 8/81 when he apparently crossed the center line and was struck by another vehicle.
