Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police officers investigated the following incidents: May 11 – Brenda Gail Howard, 51, 113 Mattison Dr., Williamston was arrested for public disorderly conduct after a blue Toyota was observed at a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of Cherokee Rd., and Ida Tucker. Capt. E. S. Russell, Lt. T. A. Striss investigated.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Report

Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents: EASLEY – May 13- J.D. Sparkman responded to 134 Pine Rd. where Jason Fulbright reported that his girl friend, Tina Boswell, WF, 5’4″, 200 pounds, had become angry at him and thrown some of his household items into the yard, damaging them. Sparkman found Boswell in the back yard in her truck with the music playing very loud and with a strong smell of alcohol about her. In his attempts to question her, she continued yelling and cursing loudly. When he attempted to place her in custody, she resisted, striking and shoving him in the process. He used his taser to gain control and she was arrested on charges of malicious damage to property, assault and battery and resisting arrest.

Fleeing suspect held at gunpoint by homeowner until deputies arrive

(Photo by David Rogers) – Carl Ensworth Lanphear, 22, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Deputies after more than two dozen officers from Anderson and Greenville counties were involved in a hunt for him Wednesday night. Lanphear led deputies on a car chase on S.C. 8 in Pelzer which ended with him being held at gunpoint when he entered a home in Greenville County. The homeowner, at 133 Meares Drive in Pelzer, held the fleeing suspect at gunpoint until authorities arrived.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents: EASLEY – May 5 – E.E. Standard responded to 19 Duxbury Lane where Matthew Erz reported that someone had cut the lock on the enclosed utility trailer belonging to CK Lawncare, and had stolen tools valued at $2800.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents: EASLEY – April 29- J.D. Sparkman responded to 4384 Pelzer Hwy. where Kali Marshal reported that someone stole her father Richard Marshall’s 1992 burgundy Honda Accord while she was inside the building cleaning. The loss was estimated at $3000.

Arrest made in Piedmont metal theft

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Dylan Conrad Fourney, 21, and charged him with one count of grand larceny in connection with the theft of copper and metal from Vulcan materials, 203 Brown Road in Piedmont.

Arrest made in Woodmont Middle bomb threat

The Greenville County Sheriff’s office arrested a 13-year old female student from Woodmont Middle School in connection with the bomb threat made there earlier today (Thursday). The student has been charged with making a bomb threat and disturbing a school.

Scrap metal valued at $2,425 stolen from Piedmont business

Sheriff’s office asked help in identifying suspects

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying possible suspects involved in the grand larceny of copper / metals from Vulcan Materials recently. The business located at 203 Brown Road, Piedmont reported the theft of pipe fittings and scrap metal valued at $2,425 from their storage yard.

Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Apr. 17 – Joseph Berry, 19 Woodmere Ct., Williamston reported someone struck his vehicle with a raw egg. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Apr. 20 – Brian Martin WElborn, 37, 307 Claudine Dr., Anderson was arrested for outstanding bench warrants for allowing operation of uninsured vehicle and operating uninsured vehicle after Greenville County Sheriff’s Office notified WPD that he was in custody. B. C. Kelley investigated.

EASLEY

April 21- J.T. Bowers responded to 115 Ledgewood Way where Willie Shelton reported that someone had damaged the rear view mirror on his truck, setting off the alarm in the process. The damage was estimated at $300. That occurred shortly after midnight. Several hours later, just a few doors away at 128 Ledgewood, Robin Hamilton reported the theft of her 2008 G37 Infiniti, valued at $24,000.
