Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two people in connection with a shooting that occurred on River Street in Pelzer Sunday morning. Billy Joe Crane and Jamie Michael Eaton were arrested Sunday night without incident and chargedor with attempted murder. Mitchell Ray Carroll was shot multiple times before he crashed a car into a fence on the Pelzer EMS property.

Single vehicle accident

Moped driver injured – Powdersville
A moped driver was injured early Sunday morning on McNeely Road in Powdersville. The driver ran out of the roadway and crashed his moped. He was rushed to Greenville Memorial Medical Center by Pelzer EMS. Powdersville firefighters assisted EMS at the scene. (Photo by David Rogers)
Three injured – Highway 153
Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident on Highway 153 Saturday afternoon. Pelzer EMS transported the injured to Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Powdersville firefighters assisted EMS at the scene with traffic control and patient care.
Three vehicle accident – West Pelzer

Four injured – Hwy. 81
Four people were injured in a head on accident on Highway 81 Friday night. Hopewell firefighters assisted Pelzer EMS and Medshore Ambulance Service personnel with cutting one of the victims free from the wreckage and also patient care. The wreck happened near Long Road north of Hopewell Church Road. A Nissan apparently crossed the center line and struck a Toyota almost head on.(Photo by David Rogers)
Truck overturns – Hwy. 29 at Hwy. 8
An 18-Wheeler over turned Monday morning at U.S. Hwy. 29 exit to Hwy. 8. According to reports the vehicle was traveling south on U. S. 29 and overturned as it rounded a sharp curve on the exit to Hwy. 8. The driver was transported to Greenville by Pelzer EMS. The truck was carrying cargo shipping containers. West Pelzer Fire Department responded and the accident is being investigated by the SC Highway Patrol.

Callahan’s Restaurant on fire – Piedmont
Piedmont, Wren and Powdersville Firefighters responded to a fire at Callahan’s Family Restaurant in Piedmont at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday.
