A Williamston police Department booking officer/dispatcher was injured in a head on collision Sunday night on Highway 86. The acccident happened near the intersection of Syracuse Road, Piedmont. A car apparently crossed over and struck the cruiser head on. Pelzer EMS took the officer to Greenville Memorial hospital. The driver of the other car fled the scene on foot. Fatal head on
Firefighters work to extinguish a van and truck fire Saturday afternoon following a head on accident on Slab Bridge Road. Firefighters from Three and Twenty, Walker – McElmoyle, and Liberty responded along with Pelzer EMS. A pickup truck puling a livestock trailer apparently crossed the center line and struck a van head-on. Both vehicles burned and the driver of the van died in the wreck. Mobile home destroyed
A mobile home was destroyed by fire late Sunday afternoon on Firetower Road. Piercetown and Three and Twenty firefighters fought the blaze. The unoccupied home suffered extensive damage even though firefighters had the fire under control in less than 5 minutes. Driver fatally injured
Three and Twenty firefighters along with Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore examine a pickup truck after it struck a tree leaving one person fatally injured Tuesday night. Firefighters from Three and Twenty, Wren, and Powdersville battle a house fire early Sunday morning on Sun Chase Drive. When the first firefighters arrived on the scene minutes after the alarm, flames were already coming through the roof. Pelzer EMS stood by as a precaution as firefighters fought the blaze. Bishop Branch Road mobile home destroyed
