Mobile Home Fire – Willingham Road

Firefighters from three area fire departments responded to a structure fire on Willingham Road around 6 a.m. Thursday morning.  Officials believe a clothes dryer was the cause of the fire which destroyed the home.

Animal causes accident – Beaverdam Road

Two seriously injured – Willingham Road

Two people were seriously injured in an accident on Willingham Road at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday. According to officials a male and female were in the vehicle when it ran off the right side of the road, struck a concrete culvert, overturned and burst into flames. The man who’s house the accident happened in front of and a woman who was driving by, helped pull David Visoso, 18, of Belton from the vehicle.

Driver cut from wreckage – Hwy. 29

West Pelzer and Whitefield firefighters work at the scene of a two vehicle accident on US Highway 29 north Friday night. A Honda and a pickup truck were involved in the accident just north of Ballard Road. Reports indicated thedriver of the truck was trying to avoid the out of control Honda.  Firefighters had to cut the driver of the Honda from the wreckage. Pelzer EMS checked the driver of the truck but he was not taken to the hospital. Hwy. 29 was blocked for more than an hour.(Photo by David Rogers)

Driver injured – Pine Trail

Occupants escape fire uninjured – Beaverdam Rd.

SUV overturns – Willingham Road

Whitefield firefighters gather information following a single vehicle accident on Willingham Road Saturday night. An SUV overturned into a ditch near Jalan Drive. Firefighters along with Williamston EMS arrived to find the vehicle overturned against some tress and a fence with no way to gain entry to check on patients. Firefighters hooked cables to the vehicle and winched it upright. There were no occupants inside. (Photo by David Rogers)

Three injured
