Tree knocks out power on Durham Drive

A large tree crashed down across Durham Drive knocking out power to several homes during a recent storm. Power was restored in about two hours and the tree was removed from the roadway. Williamston firefighters stood by as a precaution and redirected traffic.(Photo by David Rogers)

Escapes injury – Foster Road

Williamston EMS and Cheddar Fire Department responded to two accidents within an hour of each other Monday afternoon. Pictured: The driver of this vehicle rounded a curve on Foster Road and lost control. The vehicle struck a deep drainage ditch at Woods Road and overturned.

Driver injured – Pine Trail
